Junior Varsity Tournament Results

Junior varsity bowling teams hit the lanes at Sport Bowl on February 11 for the Junior Varsity Tournament.

In the girls qualifying round, Sioux Falls Lincoln placed first with a total pinfall of 1,205. On the boys side, Sioux Falls Washington placed first with a total pinfall of 2,196.

In the afternoon, teams battled it out in best two-out-of-three Baker-style match play. Some teams went straight to the top while others made their way through the losers bracket to the championship.

Girls results

Lincoln marched straight to the championship round. Washington Orange lost to Lincoln but worked their way back through the losers bracket to take on Lincoln in the championship. In the end Lincoln took home the title and Washington Orange placed second.

Boys results

It was the senior-powered Washington boys who went straight to the championship. Yankton, who started the day out in fourth, lost to Brookings in the second set of Baker rounds, but battled back to take on Washington in the championship. The top-seeded Washington won it all and Yankton took the runner-up spot.
