The South Dakota High School Bowling Association closed out its JV season in dominant fashion as the Bucks JV Boys captured their third straight state championship over Brookings at Empire Bowl in Sioux Falls.

In a field of 22 teams, the Bucks set the tone early. After the morning qualifying round, they sat firmly in first place—an impressive 239 pins ahead of the next closest team. From there, they carried that momentum into the afternoon’s double-elimination bracket play, not dropping a single match for the second consecutive year.
The result? Back-to-back-to-back JV state titles and another statement performance from a program built on consistency and depth.
Beyond the scores, the day reflected the strength of the entire program. Every bowler contributed, competing with focus and confidence under pressure. Credit also goes to the coaches, whose countless hours continue to build a culture that develops athletes year after year.
With the JV season wrapped, attention now turns to the varsity championships in Brookings next week, where the girls and boys squads will look to continue the momentum.
Another season. Another title. And a standard that keeps rising.
