The South Dakota High School Bowling Association (SDHSBA) is actively seeking dedicated volunteer Head Coaches for the Harrisburg and Sioux Falls Jefferson high school programs.
High school bowling gives student-athletes a fantastic environment to compete, build lifelong skills, and be part of a supportive team. As a head coach, you will play an essential role in mentoring young athletes both on and off the lanes.
Season Overview & Details:
- Season Dates: October 2 – March 1
- Schedule: 13 regular season matches plus an end-of-season tournament
- Commitment: Weekly team practices and match-day supervision throughout the season
What We’re Looking For:
- Passion & Knowledge: A strong background in bowling or a genuine passion for the sport, paired with a desire to teach and mentor high school-aged youth.
- Commitment & Leadership: Ability to organize and attend weekly team practices, manage match-day logistics, and lead student-athletes during competitions.
- Student Protection & Safety: Completion (or willingness to complete) SafeSport certification and required background checks prior to the start of the season.
- Positive Mentorship: A commitment to fostering sportsmanship, teamwork, healthy competition, and personal growth for every athlete on the team.
