The 2019 South Dakota High School Bowling Association Varsity Tournament will be hosted at Yankton Family Fun Center in Yankton, SD, on February 21 and 22. This year marks the first time the Varsity Tournament will span two days.
Schedule of events
Thursday, Feb. 21
- Doors open at 8 AM
- Coaches meeting at 8:30 AM
- Opening ceremonies & announcements at 8:50 AM
- Boys Qualifying starts at 9 AM
- Lunch break
- Girls Qualifying begins around 1 PM
Friday, Feb. 22
- Doors open at 9 AM
- Coaches meeting at 9:30 AM
- Opening ceremonies & announcements at 9:50 AM
- Baker Style match play will begin at 10 AM
There will be a $5 dollar admission fee to cover the tournament cost and provide access to both days of the event. SDHSBA Season Programs will also be on sale at the door. Yankton Family Fun Center will provide a lunch special for bowlers and spectators.

Reason for changing the format
Due to a growing number of teams this season, starting this year and moving forward, the SDHSBA Varsity Tournament will be a two-day event.
The SDHSBA coaches and board recognize how important it is to have the kids in school, but we also know that as we grow, the boys and girls will not fit in one center. The kids are all one team and desire to compete together. Parents and coaches also want to support the teams. That being said, a two-day format is necessary.
